Westminster College administers four online programs: a four-year bachelor's in business administration, a bachelor's completion program for registered nurses, and master's degrees in business administration and strategic communication. The college pairs all of its online students with a faculty mentor who helps them select courses, identify experiential learning opportunities, and explore various career paths. Online learning at Westminster is competency-based, and students must complete a series of projects to graduate. Business administration undergraduates, for example, may develop a business plan, deal with hypothetical ethical dilemmas, and conduct a financial analysis of an existing company. Because students work independently on these projects, they can move through their required sequence at their own pace. Applying to the business administration bachelor's program requires a high school diploma, a personal essay, and one letter of recommendation. Nursing students must hold an associate degree and a current license. Graduate applicants need a bachelor's degree with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
79% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
89% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
67% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
