Online students at Southern Utah University can pursue associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in disciplines such as accounting, cybersecurity and information assurance, elementary education, and public administration. All online programs at the university feature fully asynchronous coursework, and dedicated personal advisors help answer questions and direct online learners to a host of support services. The university's Finish Line Scholarship covers up to 100% of the cost of in-state tuition for four semesters and is open to both online and on-campus students. To qualify for this award, learners cannot have attended SUU within the past year and must be working toward their first bachelor's degree. Renewing the scholarship requires maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA. Undergraduate admission requires a high school diploma or GED. Applicants under the age of 24 must also submit ACT or SAT scores. Along with a bachelor's degree and entrance exam scores, some graduate programs at SUU may require several years of relevant professional experience.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
79% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
89% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
67% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
