A Christian university of Quaker heritage, Friends University hosts both bachelor's and master's programs in elementary education, computer science and information systems, cybersecurity, and healthcare leadership. Business administration students can also elect to enroll in the university's 4+1 program, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree online in just five years of study. Friends is deeply committed to the academic and professional success of students. Coaches and advisors provide personalized advice to online and in-person learners, helping them choose a major, identify internship opportunities, craft resumes and cover letters, and prepare for interviews. Online students can also participate in a job shadowing program with Friends alumni in their area. To enter a bachelor's program, you must possess a high school diploma and take either the ACT or SAT. Applicants typically must hold at least a 2.0 high school GPA and an ACT score of at least 18, though prospective students who do not meet these requirements may still apply for conditional admission.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
94% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
87% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
68% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
