Idaho's best public online university, the University of Idaho offers seven online undergraduate and three online graduate degrees, including popular bachelor's programs in history and organizational sciences. All bachelor's programs accept significant transfer credit, making them an attractive option for prospective students who already possess an associate degree. Available master's programs prepare graduates for careers as public administrators, psychologists, and performing artists. Prospective students can review the U of I website to explore careers and learn more about available internship opportunities. Students may also explore the four-year degree plan for each program, an excellent tool that helps learners graduate on time. All degree-seekers meet with an advisor at least once per term, typically before registering for courses. U of I accepts new students in the fall semester, and undergraduate application requirements include ACT or SAT scores. Application materials for graduate applicants vary by program. In-state learners may qualify for up to $4,000 per year in automatic merit-based scholarships; these awards stack with other institutional aid.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
97% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
74% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
56% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
