Headquartered on 554 acres in Randolph Center, Vermont Technical College serves approximately 1,500 students each year at 13 campus locations. The school is one of the best online colleges in Vermont. This public institution offers small class sizes, applied learning, and personal support. Vermont Tech oversees two fully online degree completion programs, leading to a bachelor of science in dental hygiene or nursing. Designed for professionals who already hold an associate degree and/or RN licensure, each of these online programs can be completed in two years. In addition to coursework, BSN students must complete 225 hours of precepted clinical experiences in a local setting. Prospective transfer students must complete an application and submit official transcripts and a 250-500-word personal essay. Out-of-state students enrolled exclusively in online courses pay the same per-credit tuition rate as Vermont residents.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
74% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
82% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
57% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
