Spalding University is a Roman Catholic university that is affiliated with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. In addition to in-person offerings at its urban campus in downtown Louisville, SU offers 12 online degrees -- evenly split between undergraduate and graduate programs. Undergraduates can pursue options that include an RN-to-BSN pathway, an associate in business administration, and a bachelor's in psychology. Graduate degree-seekers can earn a doctor of nursing practice, master's in business communication, or post-bachelor's certificate in accounting. SU offers six convenient start dates throughout the year, and its six-week block schedule makes it easy for students to progress quickly while taking just one or two courses at a time. Prospective students must submit official transcripts and complete an application. Additional prerequisites and admission requirements may apply depending on a student's program.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
73% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
67% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
51% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
