Founded in 1961, Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City is an open-admission, two-year institution that is one of the most affordable schools in the state. As a member of the Oklahoma State University System, OSU-OKC offers ample resources and a strong network to its students. While students can attend courses on campus, OSU-OKC offers high-quality distance programs to accommodate diverse learning needs. For instance, the OSU-OKC online public safety management bachelor of technology does not require any in-person attendance. This 120-credit degree includes 40 general education credits, six elective credits, 27 associate degree credits, 14 specialization track credits, and 33 upper division credits. Notable courses include multi-agency response to critical incidents, strategic planning and analysis in public safety agencies, and personnel oversight strategies. OSU-OKC uses the Brightspace learning management system to administer online courses. Distance learners receive support from academic counselors, technical support, and librarians.
