Based in Cambridge, Lesley University was founded in 1909 as a women's school that trained kindergarten teachers. Today, the institution offers comprehensive, coeducational programs, which include over 20 online degrees powered by Blackboard. Undergraduate students can earn bachelor's degrees in business management, psychology, and interdisciplinary humanities. They may also pursue a human services degree, learning to manage client cases and conduct micro and macro assessments. Graduates can work in diverse settings, including crisis intervention and community advocacy. Lesley also offers an online master of science in management that enables students to pursue a generalist track or pick from a nonprofit or human resource administration concentration. The university also offers a variety of graduate education programs. Teachers may prepare for endorsement in specialty areas like language and literacy, mathematics education, and elementary education. Teachers may extend their expertise by pursuing certificates in seven high-need areas. Online students pay tuition prices based on program type. Lesley offers ample financial aid opportunities, including merit scholarships for graduate applicants. The university also funds departmental awards for counseling and education majors.
