Regional
Nationally accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education, Heritage Christian University offers online associate and bachelor's degrees in biblical studies. Online learners may also pursue a master's degree in divinity or ministry, with concentrations available in areas such as theological history, ministerial care, and ministerial counseling. Although the bulk of coursework in the program can be completed through the university's web-based learning management system, graduate students should prepare to visit campus at least twice during their studies. In addition to a mandatory orientation session, all master's students must take their final comprehensive exams in person. Undergraduate applicants must have a high school diploma and share at least three personal references. Those under the age of 31 must also submit scores from the ACT or SAT. Graduate applicants must submit transcripts, letters of recommendation, and entrance exam scores, as well as a personal statement outlining their academic qualifications and goals. Online students are not eligible for institutional scholarships.

Admissions Breakdown
Acceptance Rate Insight
80% of students were accepted during the 2020-2021 school year. Sometimes schools with midrange acceptance rates have higher standards of entry but are still accessible to many students who apply.
Retention Rate Insight
87% of full-time students stayed to continue their studies the following academic year. These students started in Fall 2019 and returned in Fall 2020.
Graduation Rate Insight
72% of students graduated out of all full-time, first-time students who began their studies in Fall 2014. Keep in mind many students who enroll are not typically first-time students, as most are adult learners. Therefore, the number of first-time students is traditionally low.
