Established in 1908 as a school of agriculture, today Cameron University offers approximately 50 two-year and four-year programs. The school's 6,000 students hail from all 50 states, while small class sizes create an intimate learning environment. Coursework at CU is designed to accommodate both traditional and nontraditional learners. Among CU's multiple programs is a bachelor of business administration that requires minimal in-person attendance. The 124-credit program requires 44 credits in general education, up to three university credits, 63 major requirement credits, and elective credits. Coursework includes money and banking, consumer motivation and behavior, marketing research, and human resource management. CU holds programmatic accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. Distance learners use the Blackboard online learning management system to access coursework such as essays, exams, discussion posts, and group assignments. CU provides counselors, technical support, online databases, and online tutoring to ensure student success. CU holds regional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.
